The geometry of the ET converts the horizontal forces into vertical forces and absorbs those forces to nearly eliminate chucking. This translates to less stress on the truck, trailer, livestock and passengers.
The ET hitch was designed and is built with quality components for long lasting service.
Precision ground, polished, case hardened shafts approximately twice the strength of grade 8 bolts.
Everything that moves, rotates or rubs is isolated and protected. On the shafts rotation points there are space age, greaseless composite bearings. These bearings are capable of withstanding pressure of 26,000 pounds per square inch. They are NOT affected by grit, grime or water and will NOT fail in extreme temperatures.
Automatic Head Leveling Valve. This innovation insures the coupler head remains at the proper operating height when under a load. Although the optimum range of operation is at 40% to 60% (40 to 60 psi) the head leveling valve will keep the coupler head at the right height with a lighter or heavier tongue weight.
Designed with anti-chucking mechanism. Chucking is that nagging pulling back and forth between truck and trailer. The geometric design, a parallelogram “dog bones” in the ET hitch vertically suspends 100% of the pin weight on the air bags and when the chucking force comes forward it redirects the force downwards into the same airbag(s).
